How to Create Your Own Unique Style

In the words of Mary Quant- 'the fashionable woman wears clothes. The clothes don't wear her'. A truly fashionable woman is one who does not follow trends and is not a fashion victim. Instead, she personalises her clothes and look, to fit her style and personality.
Your style should express the real YOU on the inside. In order to find your style and be truly unique, there are a few fashion misconceptions to avoid.

Misconception no1-' To truly look great in your clothes, you must maintain a model's figure'.   NOT TRUE
Your fashion ideal should be you at your best, well dressed despite your body size.

Misconception no2- 'You must wear the must-haves of every season'.   NOT TRUE
'Fashion is architecture, it's just a matter of proportions'- Gabrielle Coco Chanel. Wear clothes that fit your proportions.

Misconception no3- 'Ready to wear is actually ready to wear'.   NOT TRUE
To have great personal style, wear clothes that REALLY fit. Ask a tailor to make alterations on clothes so as to have a perfect fit. The cut has to fit the body and flatter the shape and size.

Overall, clothes, hair and makeup must work together for a woman's best style to emerge.

Remember ladies, your style should express the real you on the inside. So find your style and master the art of expressing yourself through clothes.
