Color Blocking Tips

Once again, this season is back with brighter and bolder prints. It can be overwhelming if you co not know how to pair colors. You can have fun mixing and matching if you follow the rules of wearing color blocked clothes. Rule 1. Find complementary colors. Rule 2. Wear a color you really want to wear. Rule 3. Stick to 2-3 colors. Rule 4. Pair it with plain neutrals. Rule 5. Use separates to build an outfit. Rule 6. Have fun.
Always remember that with accessories, less is more. Keep simple and clean lines. You can also use one item over and over again in your outfits. Just make sure the colors complement each other. Its a playful season, so have fun. Feel free to comment and let us know how you are rocking this season's trend.

As promised, here are some more amateur pics from the Arise Fashion Week. On the whole, it was a good six day event which I totally enjoyed, every bit of it.

Click click, that's the sound my camera makes each time I press the button. I can't stop doing that. I'm an addict now.

Amateur Photography

I'm so psyched about my new camera. I think my EOS 550D totally rocks. I've been taking pics, upon pics, upon pics. See below some of them. I haven't started editing pictures though. My nephew is my muse, lol.
Totally love this
Oh yeah, that's me. I've gone digital. Tell me if you like what you see :)

Fashion Week and Photography

At last the Arise Fashion week is over. Not that I didn't enjoy working on fashion week, but it was 6 days of continuous hard work. I'm glad I have the time to rest and catch up on my much needed sleep now. I met and worked with lots of people - designers, models, stylists, photographers, people I would surely miss. Some of them have even become close friends :). I look forward to seeing you guys again. I was also able to launch my new hobby - Photography, during fashion week. I'm uber excited cos my camera is the bomb. I would be showcasing pictures frequently. So stay tuned. Below are some of the pics from the show. Over the next few weeks, I would be doing a profile on some select designers from all over Africa that showcased on the show.
